As referenced in the townhall earlier today, me @junghwan @salief and @jawn finally got a draft prop up on testnet with our latest thinking of how the studio we are launching – Lifeworld – is approaching getting funding from Entropy for the development of River. Right now, we have a multi-step prop structure that goes through PA first – with the intention of aligning group expectations re: Lifeworld building a production platform on top of Assembly Press. Here is the link to the prop on testnet, and ill include the full prop in the remainder of the post to make commenting easier.
Seeking as much feedback as we can get about this. If ppl have questions about our intentions for Lifeworld, River, continued development of Assembly Press, etc, please share !! The point of this proposal is to both get the ball rolling on River + community activation on AP, as well as mark the provenance of PA’s influence on Lifeworld. We are still a bit away from submitting this prop on mainnet as we intend to get a more legit version of the demo running/released + catch up with Cedric and other members of entropy before submitting the prop.
To be extra clear about the current mechanics of this prop, it would be something Lifeworld submits to PA, that if accepted, triggers a follow up proposal to Entropy. I delegated my Entropy token to the PA treasury address yesterday which will make this possible (if we end up keeping this strategy)
-------- prop begins below ------
Summary
We are proposing that Public Assembly (PA-) submit a proposal to Entropy DAO requesting 15 ETH of funding to be used for River + Assembly Press (AP) development. 10 ETH to Lifeworld for work on River, and 5 ETH kickback to jumpstart public AP development.
Who we are
Lifeworld is a technology studio started by Joey, Salief, Max, and Jawn – co-founders of PA and Felt Zine. In preparation of developing River, the first product built on top of AP, we have spent the last 2 months advancing the framework to a full-stack solution that is now ready for wider community engagement.
Motivation
After 2 months working on AP, we are ready to begin work on River and are seeking funding for its initial development. We also believe AP is finally ready for more attention from PA and its members. To begin the process of increasing collective focus on AP, the Lifeworld team is suggesting that this proposal is submitted to Entropy through PA governance to bring attention + funding to AP, as well as mark the provenance of PA’s influence on the formation of River and Lifeworld.
Gathering Focus
We believe AP is ready for wider community involvement, and that greater focus may lead to its establishment as a long-term energy source for the DAO. Energy we believe it can provide includes:
- Public goods funding: Gitcoin, Optimism, DAO Drops, etc
- New members: Attract members to PA through initial contact with AP
- Legitimacy: Continue building PA’s image as open source infrastructure creator, educator, and space maker for those looking for community at the edge.
We envision some/all of the 5 ETH kickback being used to fund the process of converting AP to a public-facing, communally developed project.
River
River is a home to manage and interact with individual and group information. Think shared blogs, playlists, and archives. Public Assembly members will have early access to the platform, and receive additional benefits like subsidized storage fees, and more. Here are a few notable features that will be available on day 1:
- Collaborative channels - invite any ethereum address to add items to your channel
- Personal library - a place to manage your onchain media
- Discovery feed - explore channels on River
Ask
- Submit a proposal to Entropy requesting 15 ETH for River + AP development
We hope that this proposal marks the beginning of multiple initiatives that bring long-term legitimacy to Public Assembly. If you have any questions about this proposal, please feel free to reach out to Max, Jawn, Joey, or Salief directly, or hit the PA forum post about this proposal.

The following is the proposal that will be submitted to Entropy if this proposal passes
<>
<>
Summary
This proposal is requesting 15 ETH in funds for the initial development of River - a networked media platform - and continued work on the supporting public infrastructure developed by Public Assembly.
Who we are
Lifeworld
- Joey: co-founder PA. Ex-Zora. Design
- Max: co-founder PA. Ex-Zora. Product Engineer
- Salief: co-founder PA. Product Engineer
- Jawn: co-founder Felt Zine. Product Engineer
This proposal is coming from Public Assembly because the Lifeworld team wanted to have our network’s buy in that they are ok with us developing the first production app on top of Assembly Press. If you are seeing this proposal, its because our prop to PA passed and triggered this one to go through.

River is a home to manage and interact with individual and group information. Think shared blogs, playlists, and archives. Entropy members will have early access to the platform, and receive additional benefits like subsidized storage fees, and more. Here are a few notable features that will be available on day 1:

Public Infrastructure
River will be the first production platform built on Assembly Press, a full-stack framework for applications that has been under development by Public Assembly for the past year. We envision the successful propagation of a development ecosystem around the framework will benefit Entropy directly as well, by providing a foundation for experimental networked infrastructure, like Entropy Prop 7 - Artifact Builder.
Ask
- 10 ETH funding to Lifeworld for River development
- 5 ETH funding to PA for Assembly Press development
